The Music Hall’s Innovation + Leadership series presents the documentary “The Last Crop”. The film chronicles family farmers Jeff and Annie Main’s struggle to ensure their working farm’s future in California’s Central Valley. Their journey personalizes a story echoed on farms across our nation, as one out of every three of our aging farming population will face retirement by 2030. Children leave. Ideals are questioned. Their land’s future is uncertain. Witness one farm family’s resolve to save their land for future farmers.
Following the film, a panel of local farmers and members of the land conservation community will share their perspectives and experiences, and discuss what we can do in NH to protect and preserve our agricultural landscapes.
