This Friday, bring your 3-5 year old to Big Fish Little Fish, our drop-in environmental education program. This week, we’ll be learning about the Seacoast Science Center’s new baby cuttlefish by observing them, watching a feeding demonstration, doing a jet propulsion activity/ race, and exploring their ability to camouflage. Be among the first to learn more about the Center’s newest residents who, despite their name, are not fish at all (they’re in the mollusc family).
At Big Fish Little Fish, kids and their favorite adults actively explore and learn about the habitats of Odiorne Point State Park together. Most weeks, this involves a trip outside for a nature walk or seashore exploration. Adventures are designed to inspire curiosity and a sense of wonder, and to empower and build a child’s confidence as a young scientist and naturalist.
Register in advance and save! Pre-registration cost: $8 for member children; $10 non-member children. Day-of cost: $10 for member children; $12 non-member children. No charge for accompanying adults unless you plan to stay and play in the Center after class.
