Produced by The Players’ Ring
If Gary Newton were here with us today, he would be so proud of how much growth has taken place over the years in this little black box theatre that he dreamed of so long ago. His extraordinary vision of nurturing new artists and playwrights and allowing them an affordable space to bring their productions, passion projects, and workshops to life here at Players’ Ring continues to thrive after 25 years!
This Season, we felt that it was important to share with our audience some of Gary’s magic back to the stage through stories and shared memories as well as some of his own original work.
Please join us for a very special night of stories, music and theater! Hear anecdotes of inspiration from Todd Hunter, John Geoffrion, George Hosker-Bouley, Christopher Savage Jonathan Hoar and more. Listen to original music by Billy Butler of BITTER PILL. Howl through performances of Gary Newton’s original commedia shorts, brought to vibrant new life by Marina Altschiller.
All that plus an excerpts from Russell Rocheleau’s film Rockwater and archival footage from the Players’ Ring stage featuring Gary himself, offering those new to the Seacoast theater world a chance to hear him in his own words for the first time.
Please join us the weekend of November 4 – 6 for a very special Tribute to the Players’ Ring Visionary and founder F. Gary Newton.
Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday at 3 p.m.
